The workshop on shock wave therapy at the Physiozentrum für Weiterbildung is aimed at doctors, therapists and other medical professionals who would like to use shock wave therapy in their practice - whether they are beginners or experienced users.
I have no experience with shock wave therapy - is the workshop still suitable for me?
Absolutely. The workshop is designed to provide valuable content for both beginners and experienced users. You will be introduced from the ground up and can practise directly on the device.
What are the contents of the workshop?
In addition to the medical side (indications, techniques, complementary procedures), the experts also cover the legal side (information, contraindications, who is allowed to do what?) and the economic side (billing, marketing, cost-effectiveness). You go home with a complete picture.
How does the workshop work?
The workshop includes 4 hours of theory (technical basics, current studies, indications, case studies) and 4 hours of practical hands-on training directly on the shock wave device.
How long does the workshop last?
This is a full-day workshop, from 9:00 to approx. 17:00. The morning is for theory, the afternoon for practice. Catering will be provided throughout the day.
Who are the speakers?
The workshop speakers are experienced practitioners who treat patients with shock wave therapy themselves on a daily basis - including internationally recognized manual therapists and physiotherapists/osteopaths. They will share their tried and tested knowledge directly with you.

Is the content of the workshop scientifically sound?
Yes, all workshop contents are scientifically proven with current studies.
What will I receive as a participant after the workshop?
All participants receive a USB stick with the complete presentation as well as information brochures, a notepad and a ballpoint pen. In addition, each person will receive a certificate of attendance for 8 training units (45 minutes each). Furthermore, all participants benefit from a 5% discount on the purchase of an EMS shock wave device. Catering will be provided throughout the workshop.

The current workshop dates and venues can be found directly on the website of the Physiozentrum für Weiterbildung. Five workshops on shock wave therapy are offered each year.
