Modern Therapy for Musculoskeletal Complaints

Allomed Therapy
In 2021, we created a new business division with Allomed Therapy and thereby took an important step toward the future-oriented further development of our company. Our vision was, and remains to this day:
With strong partners such as EMS (Electro Medical Systems), we are committed to the highest quality, precision and innovation. Swiss technology also enjoys an excellent reputation in Austria and forms the basis for modern, effective therapy concepts.
True to our guiding principle “we prove – others claim”, it is not mere promises that take centre stage with us: the effectiveness of our devices is backed by numerous studies and practical successes.
After a successful build-up phase, we have deliberately developed our portfolio further and tailored it to the needs of our customers. Today, our focus is on high-quality shock wave devices from EMS as well as innovative cooling bandages incl. compression from Lumark, which set new standards in therapy and regeneration.
With Allomed Therapy, we continue to pursue our clear goal: to offer our customers innovative, reliable and high-quality products that sustainably contribute to improving the quality of life of their patients. This principle is firmly anchored in our values – today and in the future.
The Principle of Shock Wave Therapy
First it burns –then it goes numb
Peppers and chili contain capsaicin, a substance that stimulates so-called C-nerve fibres. These are responsible for transmitting pain.
Through sustained activation, a burning sensation occurs at first, but then a temporary “exhaustion” of the nerves – they release less Substance P, a messenger for pain perception.
This is precisely the principle used by shock wave therapy.

First it cools –then the pain subsides
Cold therapy uses targeted cooling to reduce pain stimuli and decrease swelling in the affected area.
The cold causes the blood vessels to constrict, slows the metabolism in the tissue and can attenuate inflammatory processes.
Especially for acute injuries, bruises, sprains, strains or postoperative swelling, cold is often the right choice.
Combined with compression, the drainage of swelling fluid can be additionally supported – for less pain, less swelling and a faster regeneration.
This principle is also used by the Lumark cooling bandage with compression.
